I’m Sandwich and I’m a writer. I’ve been writing for about fifteen years, and most of what I’ve written are things that I’ve kept to myself. My hard drive is riddled with unfinished novels, fanfiction, and other stories. I’ve learned a lot from all this writing and I hope to eventually get published one day. I’ve always seen it as more of a hobby instead of a career path. I don’t expect I’ll ever make a living off of it, but that’s fine. It’s enjoyable, and that’s really all I care about.

I also write reviews and analyses on storytelling, which I’ll be using my blog to post. I mostly talk about movies, but also TV shows and novels, and sometimes video games.

If you want to know some more personal things about me, I’m a queer guy who’s entering his early 30s soon, and I reside in Ontario, Canada. In the spirit of internet anonymity, that’s about all the personal information I’m willing to provide here, though some things might eventually be sprinkled here and there as my blog grows.

An Empire Over Ashes (working title)

As a war between two powerful forces comes to a genocidal end, a surviving mercenary leader named Annora finds herself coerced into fighting another. Only this time, she’ll be serving her opponent—the one who carried out the genocide. Yornon the Radiance, a mysterious overlord with unfathomably destructive powers, is her new overlord. Shrouded in mystery, and wielding the power of a god, Yornon is an untouchable being. None dare resist the Radiance, and those that do soon face annihilation.

The Radiance has already used their mystical abilities to kill one of Annora's friends, and if she wants to keep the rest of her comrades alive, she must continue to follow her overlord's commands. As this new war progresses, Annora is soon ordered to turn her army against people she does not consider to be her enemy. She must now face the choice between secretly mitigating the damage she's causing, or following her overlord’s heinous commands in order to keep her friends safe.
